Job Summary

Bay Developments Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Engineer (Project In-Charge) to lead and manage construction projects with precision and excellence. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and experience managing large-scale projects with basements in Dhaka city.

Job Description

• Smooth coordination with the corporate office construction management team
• Coordination with design consultants (Structural, Electrical, and Plumbing) for effective implementation of design intent
• Liaise with the supply chain department to ensure timely availability of materials and resources at site
• Prepare detailed project budgets and estimates; apply them effectively across project phases
• Prepare and implement project schedules to meet timelines and delivery targets set by management
• Develop and execute Site Implementation Plan (SIP) aligned with approved drawings and specifications
• Ensure adherence to design, technical specifications, and quality standards throughout construction
• Ensure effective supervision and execution of structural, finishing, MEP, and exterior works
• Monitor and track construction progress, highlight deviations, and implement corrective actions
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and site teams to optimize performance and ensure accountability
• Certify contractor bills, BOQs, and validate project-related documentation
• Conduct regular site meetings, safety briefings, and internal coordination sessions
• Design and implement on-the-job training programs for site engineers and support staff
• Lead efforts in resolving on-site technical or coordination challenges
• Maintain all project records, daily reports, and construction logs as per SOP
• Maintain strict compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and legal obligations
• Prepare and share progress reports, dashboards, and revised work schedules with management
• Maintain positive communication and relationships with stakeholders including owners, consultants, and regulatory authorities
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the management related to construction oversight and site delivery

Educational Qualification

• B.Sc in Civil Engineering from any reputed university

Experience

• 5 to 10 years in construction work
• At least 2 to 4 years in a managerial role
• Prior experience in high-quality residential or commercial construction
• Must have handled large projects with 3 or more basements in Dhaka
• Minimum experience in 2 basement constructions is required
