Sr. Executive/ Assistant Manager, Supply Chain Management

Overview

Bay Developments is looking for an ambitious and self-starting individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager or Senior Executive in Supply Chain Management. You will coordinate, organize, and oversee all activities involved in the identification, acquisition, Sourcing, and distribution of items as needed. Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to streamline processes and improve accuracy and efficiency within operations. Your role will play a key part in ensuring that everyone sees the true value of Bay.

Roles and Responsibility

  • Conduct procurement and delivery of structural items such as metal, aluminum, machinery, power tools, accessories, and equipment (assets) for various projects
  • Analyze drawings to review detailed BOQ
  • Prepare CS (comparative statement) for procurement of regular construction materials
  • Prepare work orders, purchase orders, or deeds of agreement; obtain approvals, and send them to vendors
  • Follow up on material delivery schedules to ensure just-in-time delivery
  • Ensure delivered materials meet required quality standards
  • Take appropriate action if any inferior quality material is delivered and report it
  • Maintain, evaluate, and develop vendors as per process
  • Conduct material forecasting and planning to fulfill material supply demands
  • Evaluate letters of credit documents and collaborate with the accounts department to ensure timely financial obligations
  • Visit projects regularly to understand the construction status and ensure progress
  • Look for new sources and develop business relationships for better quality products at optimal costs
  • Increase credit limits and credit durations as much as possible while ensuring a win-win situation
  • Conduct regular market surveys to find new products and collect price trend information on regular materials
  • Undertake routine tasks delegated by the supervisor or other SCM-reporting supervisors
  • Maximize cost optimization through planning, strategic decisions, and management approval
  • Conduct yearly vendor evaluations
  • Act as a single point of contact between the company and suppliers
  • Collect bills and commissioning reports to process timely payments in coordination with the accounts team

Job Nature

Education

  • B.Sc in Engineering from any reputed university is mandatory
  • MBA in SCM or any professional certification in SCM will add an advantage

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Real Estate, Supply Chain

Additional Requirements

  • Age at least 25 years
  • Negotiating with vendors
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Profound skill in understanding working drawings
  • Able to prepare and track work schedules in Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge about Glass & Glazing works, Fittings & Fixtures (Plumbing), Water Treatment Plant, Pools & Water Bodies, Pumps, etc.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in MS Office
